Joint Aircraft Survivability Program

Achieving increased affordability, readiness, and effectiveness of tri-Service aircraft.

JASP Overview

Who We Are and What We Do

The Joint Aircraft Survivability Program (JASP) develops cross-Service aircraft survivability solutions and evaluation methods needed to dominate the multidomain battlefield and mitigate U.S. aircraft losses in combat. JASP products support weapons tactics schools, air operations, and training; operational testing (OT) and Live Fire Test and Evaluation (LFT&E) of aircraft systems; aircraft combat damage reporting; and transition of technologies to the battlefield to improve aircraft survivability and force protection.

Aircraft Threat Detection and Countermeasures

Developing and applying advanced technologies, techniques, and algorithms to detect, identify, and counter current and emerging threat capabilities.

Aircraft Survivability Test and Evaluation

Developing and applying accurate and credible engineering- to engagement-level models, simulations, and data to support DoD aircraft system development, evaluation, and analysis.

Aircraft Force Protection

Maximizing the protection to, and tolerance of, current and future DoD aircraft to kinetic and nonkinetic threat damage effects.
