Enhanced Surface-to-Air Missile Simulation
Acronym: ESAMS
ESAMS is an M&S tool for simulating engagements between aircraft and RF-guided surface-to-air missile (SAM) systems. The tool determines probabilities of aircraft detection, threat launch, and threat impact for encounters, as well as the point of closest approach for approaching missiles. These outputs allow the user to characterize blue system susceptibility to radar systems, as well as the effectiveness of electronic countermeasures against many of the systems. ESAMS supports AoA studies, requirements compliance verification efforts, and general system effectiveness evaluations. It comes with several red radar system models and is integrated into SLATE.
